Installed the front NB rotors and calipers I got of a member and did a full brake fluid change

Also got the final part of the air intake, that is done, sits just behind the vented light as well

Also got the 45 degree cross pipe, just waiting for the elbows to get here

How does everyone deal with the 20mm pipe that runs from the crossover to the bottom of the TB ??

Does any one know how other people have dealt with the idle control valve pipe when building a new cross over intake ?

Any good ideas as to how to make an attachment point into a silicon elbow to run this hose ?

Making an attachment out of plastic (or even cutting off and using the attachment pipe of the original intake) seems fairly easy, but I'm worried about it melting.....

It's seems that some pipe welded to a washer and pushed through the silicon pipe from the inside with a grommet would work, but it's a lot of Fk around...... Wondering if there is an easier solution ???

I'm going to either modify a stock SE elbow or fab one out of 2.5 inch 90 degree bend with barbs fitted.
I've not considered messing with the stock piping as I'm retaining it for if I ever need to return my car back to standard.

Have some time off from Thursday so hopefully I can catch up

I know it seems a bit dodge, but I was thinking of something like this....pushed through from the inside of the silicon pipe with some gasket goo to seal it ...???

I found an awesome place which makes up cables. He made me up a cable with the attachments that I wanted and also left one end floating and gave me a screw on end piece. He told me to set it up to the right length and then take it back to him and he'll solder and crimp the ends on

Get stuck in son....

I've figured out a way to solve the idle control issue.....:-) and still build a simple and cheap intake out of off the shelf stuff

Also drilled out the throttle cable bracket to take the additional cable

Finished the other bracket for the throttle cable

And started to make an enclosure for the airfilter...... I'm worried about heat soak :-(

If you fit gas bonnet struts it gets that rod out of the way of your air box.

For struts I'd just go to a wrecker with a tape measure.

Work out how big/small you need, then scour the yard for cars with the struts attached (best bet is the boot of hatchbacks and modern sedans, they often have smallish struts there)
