NC Seat Trim R&R

Postby JBT » Sun Jan 18, 2015 10:16 am

I've looked on the US forum and Googled until my fingers bled, but can't find the answer.

See attached diagram.
Has anyone removed & replaced the sh!tty plastic side cover on the outer part of the seat to hide the rail :?:
The cover for my driver's seat has a broken forward clip - another Mazda garbage product that's good for about 6-7 years. Sorry need to vent.
I haven't removed the seat yet but it looks like the recliner lever cover (Item 2) has to be detached from the operating arm first and then the side cover (Item 3) can be removed.
But how does that Item 2 come off :?:
Anyone been there, done that :?:

I think I've figured out how to get the recline lever cover off. There is a "tag" on the lever that clips into a notch in the lever cover moulding. The cover should slide off in the direction of the arrow as shown in the attached photo.
I'll do a DIY for the rest of you NC people who will eventually have this issue.
