WOT/Power issues.

Postby OR31LLY » Thu Jan 15, 2015 1:03 pm

Hey guys/gals.

Got a na6 with some now annoying issues. This is one of them and the topic of this thread.

Acceleration is nowhere near linear.
For example, I go for a launch in first at wot... yay acceleration till i shift at 6k. Change to second... car gives up. Its like the engines had enough and the power level just drops dramatically and i struggle to get up past the 4.5k mark then all of a sudden it gains power again once past that.
Even if i shift up to 4th gear, and push the pedal to 50% the car accelerates alot freely.

Then just during daily driving, sometimes the car hesistates from idle to launch and a big cough comes from the intake as if its got too much air and then the whole car acts like it has 42kw instead of 70.

Is this a intake issue???
Or more ignition and injector symptoms?

Please help :(

Change plugs. (look at them upon removal, are they black? wet? white? broken?)
Change plug leads.
Look at air filter (caked in sh*t?)
