Ouch, my unmodified 06 NC through Shannon's is $948 which will go up to $1096 with some mods (rang them yesterday). NRMA was more expensive when I renewed it last year, but were cheaper on the Mazda3 even with Shannon multicar policy discount.

Becareful with cheap insurance companies like budget. NRMA are a pita to deal with, but they do have a high payout rate.

Shannons They are just so EASY to deal with even when you need to clame they help you and How many Insurance companys let you chose the repairer use new parts and keep the wreck if its written off

Unfortunately the new parts bit is no longer true as verified by my wife's claim.

There is a free windscreen replacement every year and my wife took advantage of that too

Home insurance also covers 10k in garage stuff as standard which gives a little piece of mind.
