Busted Horn Dilema

Postby mazdaloverSH » Thu Jan 15, 2015 8:51 am

Hi All, have a strange and frustrating problem with a 2008 hard top Roadster.

The plastic clip around the horn button has somehow cracked (no idea why), and the horn button has popped out.

To replace the simple retaining clip I have to spend over $1,000 replacing the whole air bag module !

Can't get an aftermarket wheel because they won't have the cruise control and radio controls, and I can't find the part in any wrecker or e-bay.

Is there a solution ??

If you haven't already, try emailing Chris at Targa Racing as they may have one:

It sounds like finding an alternative holding method for the broken part- maybe there is something else that will do the job. $1000 is insane. Maybe a photo of the item might help with suggestions.
