NA Rear Garnish Crack-Repair or Replace?

I just noticed some rear garnishes become available and need to decide whether I could repair (fill?) two small cracks or that would be a losing battle? I'm about to apply some liquid wrap (PlastiDip competitor) to the whole of Dash after some other prep work. Words of wisdom and experience are required...

In My Experience-due to the brittle composition of these little beauties, 'repair' of any nature is seldom a long term success. You do NOT need to pay the crazy prices sought WHEN these are available if you're willing to wait a bit, as there is a company in the U.S. who produce them from a mould identical to original (bare of course). I purchased 2 of these for $300 some time ago, but the ex$hange rate was considerably more favourable then of course:)

I was dubious that repairs were the go as I see many buying these.
Looking on eBay US there are a number around the $160 USD mark but add shipping and its a killer. The recent change in $ would not help.

I bought an IL Motorsport one from mx5parts uk. Not a precise fit, but they promise it's not the same brittle plastic and shipping from UK is reasonable.

I had not thought of them. I just looked up their site. The AUD price before adding shipping costs from UK and credit card currency charges is v close to $200 so given that I can drive to pick a painted one up here in Brisbane for $250 still seems a better option. Their product may be superior in that it is new ABS plastic and would prob be more flexible and outlast a second hand replacement, but Im unsure I'll have the car for another 10 years. :-)

If the used options were not readily available, or in the right colour, or you had to pay shipping within Aus I think this would be the next best option. Maybe there should be a group buy for these (less than half a dozen to avoid GST) ... I'm going to grab one locally now so I can get on with the dip though.
