You're a fool if you sell the soft top.

So I cut the frame from a perfectly good boot, cut out all the metal that I didn't like the look of, bonded it to the fastback. And layed up some carbon fibre on the lower part of the side windows. Next job is to make the side window, and door window rubber frames. Fun, fun.

Very cool, love your fabrication posts
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Drivers side window frame on. Will still need some work. But it's something to start with.

Stripped the drivers side, and layed up the passenger side frames. Took a pic to get an idea of the look with the spoilers on. I plan on painting everything in matching silver.

The hard part is done. Now I will take out the back window, prime it, and prep it for paint.

I primed, and put a silver guide coat on the fastback and spoilers.

Just wondering-is the reinforcement easy to remove from the boot skin? Do those blobs of glue have much strength?

Reckon mine would be easy to remove if you want to make a mold.
