MX5 INSPECTOR needed in Melbourne please

Hi. I've just made my return to this MX5 forum after a 10 year break - I was on here regularly back when I bought a new 10AE from the showroom in 1999! Life finally looks like getting me back into a 2 door convertible is possible, albeit it not in the 52K price range!

So here's my request if at all possible. There's a car in central Melbourne that I'm interested in. I live in Brisbane so popping around for a look isn't exactly easy. And since it's an NA and I'm no mechanical genius, I'm probably not the best judge of mechanical condition anyway. Would there be a kind soul in the Melbourne city area with a good grasp of what to look for in an older MX5 that would be interested in taking a look for me and reporting back? I'm happy to send you a $50 MYER voucher in return for your time and expertise

Thanks Andrew. I had to move quickly on a purchase so I begged a cousin in Melbourne to look at the car for me. He's no mx5-guru but he did the job... I think. :p
Deposit now paid. I'm looking forward to getting my butt back in a 5.

When you are settled into the NA bring it for a Sunday cruise up for coffee at the BP Southbound, Burpengary - Sundays are popular and numbers vary but we are all friendly with, of course, a common interest! :wink:
