Hello, im just looking at rims on ebay for my nb8a and I stumbled along some Enkei RPF1 replicas.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/enkei-rpf1-R ... 1532012976
The price is so cheap compared to other rims, so i was wondering.. Are they crap or is it just a scam as the seller only has 10 things sold/bought... Thanks!

Re: Help with ebay Rims
That is stupidly cheap, even for replicas. I'd be skeptical.

That user has no sales feedback to their name, only buying feedback....
.....I'd be asking for cash on pick-up only......

Re: Help with ebay Rims
Anyone bought these yet? Mighty tempting, I wonder how heavy they really are.
Would they fit a stock NB without rolling guards?
EDIT:
Bah this says it will need work done to make them fit.

Ebayer says they are 7.8kg per wheel or 17 pounds. Cheap enough but too heavy

A wheel is an engineered item and its a safety item. Metals and processes and tooling are not all equal. If it's too cheap and its not a known quantity and its critical ie not plastic bags for your sandwiches then don't bother contributing to a shonky seller and maker. Sourcing based on just price is not a good idea.

That's as heavy as the SE OEM 17" boat anchors yet they're 15" rims???
They may be OK for hard parkin' and slow cruising but no way I'd trust them on a track or a spirited drive through "the twisty stuff".
Don't worry about dying, worry about not living!

Re: Help with ebay Rims
Being Rotas, those wheels will explode and kill all the babies in the surrounding three suburbs as soon as you bolt them onto your car.
In all seriousness, those wheels would be fine. A little heavy maybe, but nothing out of the ordinary, and for 95% of us on this forum will not make a difference to the car, the way it handles or if used on the track the times you would get.
Rotas are a well made wheel for the price, and just as good as most of the aftermarket and OEM wheels out there. I know of plenty of people using Rota wheels in door to door racing in relatively heavy cars with no issues after many years of abuse thumping over ripple strips and spearing off the track.
The only thing I would do, regard the seller if you aren't prepared to take the chance, would be arrange to have a look at the wheels before hand to suss the seller out, but only because of the low feedback, they are more than likely just trying to earn a few extra dollars and we all started with a zero feedback on ebay at one time.

Are they Rota? Does Rota make an RP-F1 replica?
