SO as some of you might know i was very lucky to have the opportunity to buy an MX5. The car has seen better days, it has got fiberglass bolt on flares, a 2 1.4 stainless steel cat back exhaust system, D2 adjustable coilovers. The paint is fairly rat ssshhiiitttt and it has a small dint in the rear left quarter. In the next few weeks I’ll be fixing up those little things, trying my luck and panel beating, installing my stereo and speakers.

Welcome to the obsession. There is always Rogers coffee meet at the Southbound BP at Burpengary each Sat/Sun, the informal once a month meet on a Sunday in the Lockyer Valley area, MX5 Car Club organised event or even a dodgy day to meet fellow MX5 owners.

UPDATE
so i have throw on some new tail lights, panel beaten the dent out as much as i can, put on my White wheels, removed the vender flares.
After pulling apart the car to check everything out i found heaps a little things that where wrong with it.. the main this was the rubber bush that goes over the shifter. BOTH the body boot and the gearbox boot where hmmm lets say not there..

Not a bad first attempt at panel beating
I think it looks better without the flares. You going to refit or fill the screw holes?

Thanks man
What I have done for the time being is fit the bolts that hold the flare on to cover the screw holes. The car will get a re pray of sorts later on down the track so the holes will be welded up then for that. If I'm feeling gam I'll have a crack at welding them up my self. It's not that are to do its just that I don't have the eat welder ATM.. Saving for a good tig welder
She passed the road worthy yesterday just got to get to qld transport today or tomorrow and get her registered
I have also order the following parts as well:
New used rear glass window for soft top (as mine it to far gone to repair)
New rear antenna
New front and rear brake pads
New seats
New dash cluster
List of things to buy:
Lsd (ether na6 or full nb8b lsd conversion)
Role bar
Nb8b turbo brakes
Hair dryer
Hair Straightener
Maube some pfo1's in 15x8/15x9

What pads did you go for?
Keep an eye out for cars being parted out as you may find some of your parts there.
