Budget NA6 supercharge build
Hi all for shits and giggles I installed a supercharger that I had onto my NA6
I believe it is an M45 off a cooper s. I picked it up with all associates brackets etc.
I was going to wait until I had a new engine (current one had SNC issue), fuel reg, intercooler, ecu, injectors etc etc, but since the motor was on its way out I thought why not just bolt it on and see what happens

To get it to work I took the air flow sensor off the airbox and just joined it to the second throttle body on the supercharger
When I was playing around I found that moving both the throttle bodies together seemed to work better...... But ATM the throttle body is just rigged open.
TBH I'm scared to drive it.......
Noob question for the wiser heads...... Will it go bang?
Can I actually get this to run and drive on the stock ecu (I know that I won't get te best out of the supercharger)?
How do I get the twin throttle bodies to work together?
Any help appreciated.

EATON M45 Supercharger with 9psi reduction pulley.
Supercharger has Bypass on it as well as nb throttle body. Made to bolt up to na6 head.
I don't have 1.8 injectors.... Will those help?

Yeah it might survive with the 1.8 injectors. It definitely would with a begi style rrfpr. Don't forget to turn tgebstatic timing down to 6 degreea

Ok cool I'll get some 1.8 injectors.
Is static timing the same as just doing the timing normally with a light etc? (Sorry if this is a stupid question)

If you can get them for a decent price go for the light purple NB8B injectors, or even the light green 305cc Toyota Supra injectors which the MX5 ECU should handle ok - see following for all details: http://miataturbo.wikidot.com/fuel-injectors

When I bought my MS2, the guy I bought it off advised that the stock ECU was running as rich as 10:1.
I had always suspected that the richness of the stock ECU would work in F/I provided you knock back the timing, which I was going to do via the j-car module.
Before I knew it, things blew out of proportion and I started going mad buying stuff.
Your pulley looks like it could be a 17% reduction, meaning 10+ psi.
Maybe I'm wrong but looks the same as mine

I'm not sure that it could ever run on the road like it is..... The noise is crazy, but when it is done I may trailer it to the track to see if it blows up or not

What are you running?
My install is not yet complete but same SC as you. MS2, 320cc injectors, stock SE intercooler with custom pipes. Hurricane extractors, high flow cat, 2.25 exhaust.
Air filter box is the tricky bit due to my lack of space.
Previous owner had it tuned to 109kw atw.
If I wasn't working this week I would have it up and running!!!!
My engine has done in excess of 250 kms and based on the videos my SC is heaps louder than yours. Hoping that bonnet insulation helps otherwise I'm stuffed

I'm running those supra injectors 93-clubman referred to. Works (albiet a little rich with the stock ecu) with the rotrex which is pulling similar psi. Running afpr with standard timing.
NB SE, NA 1.8.
