Hi all,
I am making this thread for my own personal use and the use of anyone interested in reading it.
The main purpose will be documenting my work done to the car and to keep track of what still needs to be done.
I purchased this 89' Na6 from a fellow forum member named Magpie (lovely person), I knew from the beginning it had some blemishes, some big ones, some not so big. This car was my first properly mine car (purchase under my own name) and was intended for me to learn how to work on cars and do repairs, as well as have some fun driving while doing so.
So here she is:
I picked her up at the beginning of 2014 and since then I have done a few things to her, one being a needed upgrade to a 4.1 torsen diff, a MX5+ single hoop torque box roll bar , added a nardi deep corn steering wheel, added in an mx5 mania intake, had the rear calipers overhauled/repaired due to a small leak on both sides and I purchased a matching red hardtop as added security and look.
Further plans are to start repairs on her body work as well as fix a small oil leak from the rocker cover gasket, new 15x8 +25's or 15x7 +38's depending on further research into what I would prefer, new 2.5" exhaust system, brakes and suspension upgrades and then I will begin looking into a possible turbo installation.
Here is a few photos I have of the car over the time I have had her:

Good to see it is still alive and being looked after, I'll let my son know that it is still in good hands. You have done well with the paintwork.

Cheers Magpie, I've been keeping on top of the paint work, but thinking it may be time for a new coat of paint in the next 6-12 months due to it getting rather thin, same lovely red of course. I have put the daisy's back onto the 5 for now but hoping to get a set of tasteful 15's onto her in the next month or so. Been attempting my best at repairing the body work as well lately, molded the pesky license plate bracket dints in the front bar back out as much as possible and have purchased a glue puller to remove some of the smallish dints on the boot and bonnet. Engine is running nicely and is going in for a maintenance tune up soon just to keep it running at it's best.
It's certainly treated me well and has allowed me to enjoy what is "the obsession".
Thanks pezchops, they certainly are a better looking 17 than some, I shall have to take a trip up to the south bound BP one Sunday morning, would be good to meet some new faces.

Nice! Very interested to know where you purchased a glue puller and what you think of it. Cheers

Thanks speed,
So far just waiting on the glue puller to arrive but I simply purchased it off ebay and will be giving it a trial/practice run on a broken/no longer usable panel of my dad's resto project (60 series land cruiser) to see how it goes before it touches my 5 but hopefully shall go well and shall post my findings here.

The toyota may have thicker guage steel, so the technique may differ. You will soon find out ;)
