Bullet superchargers

I am interested in hearing from anyone who has a bullet supercharger in there mx5 any model, but particularly NC.

I am looking at supercharging my NC. Current plans lookibg at 150 kw at the wheels at 9 psi.

I currently have mx5 plus extractors and exhaust on car.

My two concerns is the supercharger will make the car very noisy and secondly NOT sure if the current clutch is good for 150 kws.

I will post up details of my conversion when it takes place.

They've put a lot of time into developing it and it's specific to the NC. If you have any issues with it then it's in their interests too to rectify them so you'll always get good support.

The topic IS Bullet superchargers. I am not currently interested in the MX5 plus kit.

Will Bullet do the full install at a total quoted price and within a reasonable stated timescale and take full responsibility for it all working together when completed with no further cost?

If not, do a search for some of my posts and consider whether you should be instead going to someone who will offer that package.

About 12 months ago we worked with a fellow who had a full SC kit fitted at Bullet in Qld. He wanted a drive in - drive out full install with warranty and the guys achieved this. The kit itself was the MP62 Cosworth kit now re branded as Flyin Miata. There have been numerous changes to this kit since it’s inception several years ago and these have improved the unit over time. As with all these things the real secret is in the tune to ensure longevity whist meeting all the emissions requirements. The car easily met the requirements of the IM240 emissions test here in NSW and was signed off to ensure it was totally legal.

We had the car in for some suspension work and completed a post SC install checkover and there were no issues whatsoever.

With 150kw the stock clutch wont last so I suggest you replace it at the time the SC is fitted.

The only long term issues we have seen with most of them is the requirement to replace the idler pulley's which, although a bit of a pain to change, are pretty straightforward to do. Most of the guys change the pulley's to increase the boost and a tweak of the tune will be required.

Tom and the guys at Bullet are great guys to deal with so get in contact with them. I’m sure they will be able to answer any questions you may have.

look in to the kraftwerks kit. Great value for money. You will need to get a bracket made up as it is an american kit but is a lot cheaper.

Yup, Brisbane guy has Kraftwerks in his NC 173kw atw.

Nailed it in one stock ECU with flash tune. Only difference to KRaftwerks supercharger as sold on ebay is he is running larger pulley, ie 12 psi. On Ebay kit sells for $4995.

Will try to remember to take some pics. Will try get photo of dyno shoot as well.

I have just been dor a drive in Kraftwerks supercharger 2011 NC.

Dyno,d at 175.3 kw and 278 NM torque.

First impressions not too loud at all with headers and exhaust work.

Second impression very linear power delivery.

All up cost under $7,000 including tuning.

The owner believes with further tuning it will pull 200 kw atw.

Would I buy this kit, absolutely.

When will I buy this kit. Come Monday morning I will be on the phone to purchase same.

For imported goods the value of the taxable importation (VoTI) is the sum of:

• the customs value (CV) = $5,900 AUD
• any duty payable (assume 20%) = $1,180 AUD
• the amount paid or payable to transport the goods to Australia and to insure the goods for that transport (T&I) = $300 AUD (guess)

Total $7380 AUD + GST = $8,118 AUD excludes installation (at the current AUD). I'm not sure where your $7k including tuning came from. Just for curiosity sake how will the car be tuned?

or Autmotive Plus for $7,150.00 (does not include Fuel Management System (ECU) or installation) and give more power, is made right here and support is not in a different continent.

The kit with warrantY can be fitted by Bullet Superchargers.

The car only requires a flash tune , done by Chip Torque.
