Little help in Brisbane!

Postby maxgus » Fri Dec 05, 2014 3:05 pm

Hey guys I am having a misfire issue. I would appreciate it if anyone in Brisbane would have a spare cam angle sensor I could borrow for a fault finding session and possibly for sale if that's the issue. Any help would be awesome.

Thanks

I have a "dodgee" cam angle sensor for the SVT engine. I don't know if it will fit yours or not.

It works fine until it gets hot.

when it starts ti misfire, pour some cold water on the CAS and take it for a drive. That will diagnose if its faulty or not

Thx slyfox I have already organised a loan. Regie might not be CAS as it's also hunting for idle from cold start before it gets hot and sometimes it's a very intermittent misfire. Could also be a sh*t batch of fuel as I filled up before the issue started. I have already changed a coil pack out so pretty sure it's not spark. Leads are ok and plugs are pretty new. Have to start throwing parts at it till I find the issue.

After changing a whole bunch of stuff I'm nearly 100% sure it was a leak in the intake manifold! Problem fixed and ok so far. Thanks for all the help.

Was actually a vacuum leak around an injector. Seal was pinched when fitting the bigger ones for supercharger.
