I've got the same issue in my SE... Figured it was just because it was old & the motor had more or less packed in it.

It's actually a fairly common problem with the NB series mirror switch, my SE does it too.....
I remember reading somewhere (one of the US forums) about a fix that involves removing and dismantling the switch itself.
Given I am the only one who drives my car, once set, I leave it alone so I haven't bothered with it.

I have the same problem and solution too
- it's one of those jobs that I need to get around to but really doesn't bother me.

Dismantling the contact gear, switches and control stuff and giving it a good clean with some Contact Cleaner and a cotton bud might sort the problem.
