Had an Accident, damage Photos, Please Help!!

Postby ZL » Tue Dec 02, 2014 8:42 pm

Hi guys, i uploaded some pictures of the damage.
It doesn't actually seem that bad after a closer look.

Can you guys help me with whats the extent of the damage. From what i can see the wish bone, control arm and suspension is broken.
Just wondering what need to be changed how much are those parts second hand or new if available. And also the cost of labour to repair this.

Also there is some fluid near the on the underside of the bumper just under the wheel arch, just wondering if this is a power steering leaking from impact?

Lastly just wondering if the car is repair will it drive as good as before?

Thanks for all your response in advance.

Take it to a panel beater and mechanic to get it quoted. We can't tell you via the interwebz.

I assume no insurance?

I would say you need upper and lower control arms (complete with ball joints) as well as possibly a tie rod end. Are the sway bar mounts ok?

Why is this a new thread and not a continuation of the original thread? Anyways I'd get it quoted by a few panel beaters. Perfect opportunity to go for a nb front end conversion since half of yours is bent and in need of replacement.

Seriously get it quoted, even if you are not going to use the smash repairer. You need to know what needs replacing and you've admitted that you yourself are not sure.
At least then you will know what you need, get prices and see where you are at.
Replacing with 2nd hand is fine however I'd probably replace the bushes (rubber things). :)

Use a tow truck if you are not confiden with doing the repairs yourself. You will also more than likely need to replace the long bolt and camber bolts.

Since your neighbour is a mechanic and quoted 200 labour, why not get him to do the mechanical repairs?
Source parts from the sponsors of this forum so you have an idea on prices or contact your local wreckers. There is also the classified section on here where cars are parted out from time to time :) fingers crossed the sub frame is not bent due to the extra hassle.

For the safety of you and others, I really think you should take the car to a professional repairer.
