NC loan car for testing Western Sydney

Postby ansellpa » Sun Nov 16, 2014 10:34 pm

Hi all,
I appreciate this might be a long shot, but I was hoping there might be a willing nc owner who would be prepared to loan their car to Haltech for a week or so in order to assist in development of their new Elite ECU.
My car is a race car and I am located in Brisbane. Haltech did some development work to make the new Elite a plug and Play for the NC. They used my car and it now runs very nicely with increased hp and safer tune than a previous reflash. The only issue needing to be resolved is the communications with the ABS brakes.

All of the dyno work and setting has been done on mine, but Haltech require a road registered NC to try to sort the issue. The car would most certainly not be misused in any way.

Please PM me if you are willing to help out!
They are located in Wetherill Park

Cheers
Paul

What sort of power did it make on your race NC.

Interesting.

These are wired as full ECU replacements, not piggys?

I never met a horsepower I didn't like (thanks bwob)

I will get dyon results up in the next few days.
Mine is wired in as a standalone and uses the same connectors as the stock ECU, so I presume Haltech will be looking to offer it as a direct plug in.

It looks very promising!

Sorry for the delay,
Just got these from the mechanic yesterday.

Lowest one is Headers and intake, stock ECU

Next is + generic reflash

Top one is + Haltech Elite Custom Tune on Dyno

So 140 hp or 104 kw. My car with Mx5 plus extractors and rear muffler currently makes 103.8 kw atw.

Wonder how many more ponies I could manage with Haltech Ecu.

Plus cost of dyno tuning time of course.

The extra midrange is what I need on the track at present.
Power does drop off at higher rpm but hopefully won't be an issue.
Once I get the engine built I would hope to have 180+ hp at the wheels and even better midrange.
