NC EXHAUST (Good-Win Racing RoadsterSport Q Muffler)

Postby rhyde » Thu Nov 20, 2014 2:55 am

HEY ALL
im considering getting a sports exhaust for my 2005 nc
i noticed that motoeast in the states are selling them for 399
http://www.moto-east.com/store/mazda/20 ... ffler.html

but then u have mx5mania who sell them for $1100
am i missing something, or is mx5mania putting 4fingers in ones ass with that markup, surely that cant be right, how can they justify such a huger mark up
http://www.mx5mania.com.au/product1141.htm
http://www.mx5mania.com.au/mx5nc.php

even the pics appear to be exactly the same in the links

anyone got this exhaust, and what are their thoughts

mx5parts.com.au are the goodwin distributors now. Much better pricing.
However I imported my "Q" 2 years ago directly when the exchange rate was the best and landed for less than $500 :-)

thanks guys.
still doesnt make any sense to buy it from mx5 parts when i can save nearly 200bucks for the same exhaust from a US company.
i rang mx5parts and they cant match the price. People say buy from australia and help your economy but they buy from overseas too, so why would i pay more, makes no sense.

Buy just on price - by all means its your choice. The $399 price is probably a pick up price in USD. It would seem that the linked co would not ship to Aust. Freight is going to be expensive- not that hard to double the cost. The product then arrives with no useful warranty- if its faulty a local agent will not help at all and the US seller might not be interested or ask that the product be returned at your expense. If you cannot get an overseas source to ship to Aust then its near impossible to arrange it from here unless you have a mate who can arrange it from USA etc. Maybe MX5 in UK have an option?

Looked at buying from USA a few months ago.
In AU dollars it is about $430, plus between $250 & $350 freight.
Equals $680 to $780
Buy Aussie

Id go a set of Headers before the rear exhaust

you will get a nice sounding note and added performance which you won't get with the rear muffler alone

no not true. if u read the description from the ad from moto east it says they will post just call them to discuss.
CAN ONLY BE SHIPPED TO THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES UNLESS PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE.

I did. 92 us sent to aus
399 + 92
= 491.00 USD = 570.162 AUD

in terms of the warranty that ur right, will be difficult. but to save just under 200 ill take the chance
