I drove an S1 yesterday... I think this will be the last time I test drive one before I pull the trigger.
It was an excellent drive, but I really noticed the softness of the suspension in this car, and I actually wished for a bit more stability.
Does anyone know if the S2 NC is a bit firmer? I don't remember noticing this in the S2 that I drove...
I know I'm nitpicking but it might persuade me to go for the sports model, which I think has different coilovers.

Re: NC differences
NC1 - There was no suspension differences between the Sport/Touring models - Apart from the LE models which had Bilstein shocks
NC2 - If it had Recaro seats/BBS Wheels it will have Bilsteins also.
THe Bilstens are nothing to write home about, they are pretty much as useless as the stock NC shocks.
The NC1 you drove may have had leaking shocks. It was pretty common for them to blow out. You will notice a film of oil on the lower part of the shock.

That i havent herd that before, i know in the USA there were 2 different rear bars on the sport/touring models. As far as i know the NC bars are the same across the board over here

Re: NC differences
The above links are interesting but very US focused, I feel that the Japanese specs would be closer to what we got here. In relation to the Recaro/ BBS wheels model, I do not believe that the Aus market got the Bilstein suspension.
