Dodgy tyres, broken chassis-rail, over-boosting turbo, sticky clutch pedal .... I'm there

Can't make it, plod doesn't have much of a sense of humour if the numbers in his talky machine go up over 0.05 and I have had a couple of bevvies.....

Nice to say yellow to you all tonight. Had a good run down with tien. Thanks! Had an even more fun time with 10+ ae86s. They were first hesitant to see me butting in, bit after leading the pack I'd won most of them over. Mind you I had better tyres and more power than them in a newer chassis. Not really fair is it! Hope everyone made it home safe.

Good to see everyone again along with some new faces

Hopefully I'll be there next month as well

Also to those who I was having a chat in regards to steer by wire (sorry I don't recall names apart from Andrew lol)

Ah yes, that was I!

I think I read an article about the same car - though it didn't have a fancy dissection of it. Looks like there is still a mechanical link to the wheels? Or I am not looking at that right...

Good spotting umm now I'm confused

I read another article and they said "...there's no mechanical connection between the wheel in your hands and the wheels on the street. Just electric signals." http://www.wired.com/2014/06/infiniti-q ... r-by-wire/

Now I'm confused because like you just pointed out it looks to have some form of connection

Looks like a few u-joints? I honestly have no idea (anyone with proper mechanical engineering training, please jump in now), but perhaps it's for the "oh sh*t electrics failed" moment (doesn't look big enough?), or it's just for feedback from the wheels - so it feels more natural when steering?
Because reasons.
