Postby angusis2fast4u » Mon Nov 03, 2014 2:49 pm

Hey guys My battery seems to be on it's way out, i had a mechanic test it and he said it's overdue

What battery do you guys suggest? ( as in do most people get a lighter/smaller battery? and what brand is recommended?)

I have something like this in the racecar. Lightweight and good price.
It'll sit in the garage for 3 months and still starts fine first go. Albeit, I don't have a stereo or alarm system.

About six months ago I bought a Power Sport Battery from the 'batteryman1959' on ebay. $125. So far it seems okay, but only time will tell.
Do a search on "pc680 agm" in Vehicle Parts & Accessories.
Note that it has bolt on lugs.

You can buy cheap batteries or the original type which lasts about 3 times longer.

I got myself the OEM Panasonic one (cost a bomb). I wanted the MF43 but it doesn't sit flush in the boot holder area because it's a bit high. You might have to modify the fastener a little else you will have a bump in the boot area.

All good everyone I'm just getting my mechanic to do it, no point buying a light weight one unless the rest of the car is stripped out too...
