Re: James's SE
been wanting to try this for a while, the fake rubber lip stuff. i understand it does nothing bla bla but i have always wanted to put it on a splitter and see what it looks like haha. for 13$ y not??
it just has 3m tape and was easy to mold, only JUST had enough to go around hahaha. pics were taken quick haha sorry.
yes i relise my bumper is falling, no my splitter is not pulling it.
also i have just got everything i need for my switch panel accept the actual switch panel. which ill probs use ali sheet unless anyone has better ideas!! hit me! going to do sterio relocation 1st then the switches
ok pics!
lemme know what u think. i have like 100mm of this if anyone wants to use it for anything ( see if it will look good for anything else)

Re: James's SE
First thoughts are that it looks great.
Second thought is that you've lost some road clearance so are going to crunch it and risk tearing it off - a very real possibility here in hilly Brisbane.

Re: James's SE
update: removed cruze controll, cause it didnt work
and got defected last night was a really nice cop and i cooperated. he told me if he was an asshole he could have given me 900-1200$ fine and put me over the pits. instead all i need to do is right him a lettre saying i fixed it all and go to caught. and because i dodnt have a bad history i can write a lettre saying i pleed guilty and just cop the fine. which he thinks will be like 150$ which is awsome for what it could have been. he also didnt do anything about my wheels and roll cage because he said the laws are silly and those were just making everything safer. that is respect!!! so he got me for about 10 things, all pretty small. not as bad as it could have been.
also relocated sterio to glove box to give me tons of room for switch pannel.

Re: James's SE
Bummer about the defect notice which is why I preach remaining under the radar with no visible external "hoon" mods.
Sounds like we do have a few reasonable cops here in Queensland (see Charlie_91's story about the cops chatting to him on his way to Queensland Raceway and letting him off easy).
It always amazes me when I see guys who freak out at cops or authority figures when the guys are clearly flaunting the law. You did the right thing by co-operating and "playing nice" - freaking out at the authority figure gets you offside immediately and gives them even more incentive to throw the book at you.

Re: James's SE
Was the tow hook for a rear hook protruding past the bumper? Only thing I can think of that would make it illegal, since your front one doesn't stick out at all.

It the risk of sounding like an old man, there's actually some pretty convincing statistics to prove how effective the 3rd brake light is at reducing rear end collisions.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

And to add to the old man factor I would keep the airbag steering wheel.
