wax

this maybe a silly question, but can you wax your car to much, not talking about polish because I never use polish, I wash the car , dry it and wax it, but sometimes if i'm bored i'll just wax the car for the hell of it :NA6:

If the external dimensions of the vehicle become noticibly larger then yes, you are waxing too often...... :mrgreen:

ha, no the car is still shorter than an e-type, but was wondering if I might be killing it with kindness :NA6:

You should be fine, only problem could be every time you wax you have to rub. Judt more chance of creating swirl marks. But admittedly I am a fanatic car cleaner myself. So I just put up with the risk because I enjoy it.

Hi Rossburns
There is a big chance you could do some serious damage, :lol:

so next time you have the urge to wax take a short drive down to the Gold Coast and give mine a coat.
If you get bored with the MX5 there's another 4 you can choose from

Why not "Clay Bar" the car.....it will remove old wax and any rubbish stuck to it....then wax it again

Never using polish makes no sense.

It's all in the prep. Ideally you want to clean the paint first - use a claybar all over, then polish the car and then seal properly with a wax / sealant.
