Settings for BC coilovers.

Hi guys, I've just gotten myself of BC's for my NB2, they're in and working great.
They need to come down a touch at the rear and a bit more in the front.

I was wondering if any of you guys or girls running BC's in an NB have taken measurements of the various collars on your shock bodies whilst setting up your coilovers?

I ask because it'd be great to have a starting point, and I know that you guys and girls are very fastidious ;)

How have you set them up would help, for example...
Have you set ride heights by spring preload or the bottom collar?
Where have you measured the ride height from pinch welds?
Were the heights measured with a person in the car?
Have you set any rake, if so how much?

I have a book full of measurements, but it is at home, some 7 hours by plane away and they are for a NA6. However, when I had to quickly replace my fronts I put my old springs into the new shocks duplicated the lengths and the ride height and corner weights did not need any adjustments! Pays to keep records.

I haven't made any adjustments after I got them second hand out of an NA.

I'm going to bring the fronts down a touch when I get some c - spanners and will take some measurements at that time.
It'd be nice if someone who has a similar record keeping philosophy to yourself might be able to give me the end results of their hard work on an NB.
I know it won't be perfect when using another's measurements, but hey, it's (a lot) better than nothing.

I know it's asking a lot, but it would not go unappreciated.

I assume you do not have access to scales? Notwithstanding, following the correct method of getting the length right first first then setting the ride height would still produce a good result.

Will have a read when Melbourne's weather isn't so nice, thanks Magpie.

If anyone else would be kind enough to chime in with their BC measurements or even just a few tips and tricks please do!
