Federal 959RS-R

Postby bear2230 » Tue Oct 07, 2014 11:25 pm

Hey All,

Anyone using these on a daily?
At $125 each that seems like excellent value for money but are they are drivable on sydney roads or are they track only?

Richard.

Road noise is pretty bad.

Wear is not great either.

Hankook RS-3 the Minimum

Especially for your intended kilowatts.

Best bet would be RS-3 for street duties and Yokie A050 for track duties.

I use the 595-RSR's as a street tyre with no issues.

Me too. I've now done about 3000k's and the wear is a lot less than I expected. For the price I reckon they are great value. Excellent grip and surprisingly good in the wet too. I'll buy them again. Noise isn't a problem even with the roof up.

Oh just realized who I've responded to. You should have a drive when we meet. Cheers.

I paid $113 each recently for 205/50/15

Probably wouldn't use them on a daily, but perfectly happy with them on a car that gets dríven pretty infrequently.

I run these on a daily and think they are a great tire for the price! Wear has been good for a grippy tire.

After extensive research (none in work time of course) I have ordered some Yokohama AD08R's 205 x 50 x 15.
They told me they were only bringing 20 sets in at that size so if anyone else is looking, better get on it fast.
They will be available 1st week November.
Bob Jane Taren Point quoted $200.00 a tyre and that's the price and you get them when you get them. Fantastic customer service lads, you have done yourselves proud.
Don Cornell's at Bexley. $175.00 each and they couldn't be more helpful.

That's a good price. I have a set waiting for me for $250 each...I needed them urgently then but a few things came up and they are less urgent now.

I've committed to them and will pick them up next weekend but if anyone has an urgent need, PM me and you can take over.
