Sydney people - help please

Postby Jeo » Sat Oct 04, 2014 4:16 pm

Hi all,

I'm currently in Sydney for the national motorkhana championship's and I've just split a power steering hose. Specifically the one that goes from the pump to the rack. Anyone got a spare they'd part with?

It split during practice today, competition proper starts tomorrow at 10 and ideally I'd have it sorted for that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That was the backup plan. Managed to get through the day with some tape and a hose clamp though. Lost very little fluid throughout the day until the tape let go on literally the last throw of the last test. A quick retape got us home to Canberra today with no dramas.

Regular old black electrical tape and hope?

Having just had a search for rescue tape however, I am absolutely adding some of that to the track day tool kit.

Resuce tapes awesome, its self amalgamating silicone tape use it for basically anything, repair hoses as its fully waterproof, basically heatproof etc.. Ive make o rings out of it.

Theres a guy who sets up a stand at most of the shows caravan/motorbike/car show's and does the whole shebang demo of the stuff, thats where i bought it.

Cheers,

Jono.
