Curious highest kilometres?
I'm curious, with some recent talk of daily drivers versus the value of preserving an MX with low km, what are some the high km that mx's have archived?
Not meant to be a discussion on the merits of either view, how much can my NA's 290,000km be beaten by?

Last "official" figure I have for my NB is 309,000 in June 2009 ... your guess as good as mine from there .........

Just as durable and a bit more satisfying than your average Toyota to drive.
My question is what is the highest km turbo MX-5?
I bet there will be a significantly different answer.

Re: Curious highest kilometres?
Pamex here on the forum has about 450,000km on the original engine, unopened apart from a timing belt and servicing.
It probably has a few more, but the odometer broke before the engine.

Re: Curious highest kilometres?
My se just clicked over to 200k kms a month or two ago, Ive had her since about 155k. Only problems I've had has only been my rad letting go. Mind you shes been sitting at the work shop for while because she has a really bad bogging problem, just waiting for parts at the moment. From what I can tell its still on its original turbo and is still going strong!

319,000 presently
plus if I have a quiet week (just to work and back - no weekend driving at all) I clock up 1250 klm per week! so it shouldn't take me long to get them up a bit lol

I think Miles does huge weekly KLM as well, not sure how many his will have on it now..................................

Only 205,000 on mine, still on the original block, but it's also getting up towards 4,000 competition laps in NSW, SA, WA and Vic.

noooo....
260000 km on my 2001

It has just blown a headgasket though (catastrophic coolant loss due to holed radiator) but before that it was still running very well.

Supreme Blue NB8B, 1:16.98 at Wakefield when stock, but it's not stock any more...

Win. Someone in Mazda should find out about this. On another note, I saw a photo online (possibly apocryphal) of a NA with 400,000 miles on it. It was a turbo - I think I actually saw the photo on the Mazda Facebook page....
