Re: James's SE
i have been wanting to put in a switch panel for agesssss, i just love them. the only feedback i get is " they are only for real racecars" "u dont need one, that is a stupid idea" " tryhard" things along those lines. i love the idea of them, the simplicity and how its just different from an every day car. so i bourght a load of switches, crimps and some thing u put in the fuse to get power which is cool. "fuse tap " i think its called. my idea is to put in 8 or 10 switches, mabye a pointless start button because i havent used one before ( accept in trucks)xD and 2 or 3 guages in the bottem half , or how ever many i can fit. then going to use an old cd player and mount it in the glovebox so i can delete the factory one in the tombstone. freeing up alot of space for it all.
off the top of my head these are my ideas for the switches( keep in mind i relise this will seem silly to alot of people but i like the idea and want to try it for myself. )
-horn(as i curently dont have one)
-headlights
-highbeam
-wipers( full speed)
-demister
-left window(upand down)
-right window(up and down)
-windscreen demister( 1 setting, full cold air)
-kill switch im going to name ABS. which stands for something i can not say on this forum xP
-( still thinking of idea for 10th switch) THROW ME IDEAS OF ANYTHING USEFUL!
i will be able to delete my left stalk after this.
ideas or anything feel free to say something! want people views good or bad

10th switch = disco ball and light show
Seriously though, I love the idea! Have fun with the wiring though
Will the steering column look weird with the left stalk removed?

Re: James's SE
i got a $8.95 ebay special boss and i had to cut 3mm off the end of it under the spline because it pressed against the clock spring and made the steering feel weird.
all good now...you can just pull out the bulb that flashes if you get sick of seeing it.
google the process to get into your dash lights...its pretty easy just be patient pulling the pinnacle off.

"Space Invader" LOL - obviously that cabinet was made in China since they left off the plural "s" in "Space Invaders" (reminds me of the Chinese pirated Star Wars movie which was dubbed into Mandarin/Cantonese and had English subtitles; in the opening credits where the words "Star Wars" were scrolling up the screen, the subtitle was "Star War").

They talk about Aussies pirating films/TV programmes, Chinese are past masters at copying everything and making an alternative income stream from it!

Re: James's SE
put on splitter yesterday was a pretty good buy, i guess, not as practical as i would like a splitter though. love the look and it does have the ability to pull down the front but i always thourght a good splitter should be able to hold ur weight and i didnt even try on this one. the rods are strong enoough and are attched correctly but the splitter its self isnt deep enough to be mounted to any metal. it only mounted to the bumper at the back. ( rods secure just the back of the splitter not and cant be secured well enough.) but im happy with it and it still seems strong. was easy to install with some company/help of a mate
got 2 more pics of the actual finished product but phone is playing up and cant post them. ill do that later though for u guys!

Re: James's SE
A splitter generates downforce. The downforce pulls the car towards the ground. This downforce if sufficient will pull down on the pints where the splitter is mounted. Attaching a splitter to the bumper is dangerous. Look at the way Danny has mounted his splitter.
However the track dog splitter does not extend much behind the bumper so therefore the air will not be accelerated to create a low pressure zone under the front of the car.

And yeah, I have no allusions to this splitter making downforce or anything. It’s just for 1) looks and 2) lower lip paint protection. Since my last one was only for paint protection, I’m enjoying a slightly different look. I’ve wanted to do a splitter with the little turnbuckles for a while now.
I'm sure that you are happy with the new look and the satisfaction of doing the work yourself. I know that I'm happy with my DIY splitter.
