Hey MX5CarTalk,
Whilst driving around the nasho, i hit a pothole and all of a sudden my radio completely turned off and wont turn on again. I disconnected it and reconnected all the wires in case there was a cut but it didn't solve it. Anyone know what could be the problem?
Thanks,
Justin

Did you check for power at the plug before reconnecting? Possibly a broken fuse, maybe a loose earth connection.

Hey, i didn't have a multimeter or anything so i wasn't too sure if power was going through, however i did connect another radio and that was functioning by ejecting a cd but there was still no lights for it to function properly, where can i check for the fuse? i also checked the ground and it's still tight.

The fuse box is under the dash above accelerator pedal. Bit of a pain to get to. But if powered another unit, doesn't appear to be a fuse.
There would be two powered cables to the unit/plug. One would have permanent power (holds memory, clock etc), the other would only have power when accessories are keyed on via ignition.
Not too well at moment, so not thinking too clearly on what else to check ...

Most head units will allow you to eject CDs under standby power, but need auxiliary power to turn on. Sounds like you have standby power but not auxiliary power.
Supreme Blue NB8B, 1:16.98 at Wakefield when stock, but it's not stock any more...
