That looks brilliant mate! Glad to see it straight and back in one piece
You must be thrilled!

How do the gauges look all lit up? Are they easy to see when driving?
Also with the SpeedHut inverter, don't make my mistake and forget to tape up all the extra connections, it'll blow the inverter if it shorts

Really!
I'm trying to think how something could get inside the connectors to cause the short.....

The gauges are as easy to read while driving as the ones in the instrument cluster, just glance left rather than down.
As for all lit up? Well I haven't actually dríven it at night since installing them yet, but with the lights off in the garage it looks pretty sweet!

My original inverter blew after just 11 months, when I contacted speedhut they sent me a new one under warranty but stressed that the unused connectors need to be taped up so as not to short out.
So not 100% sure mine touched a bit of metal and shorted or if it was just a dodgy inverter that let go.
Either way better to be safe :)

Haven't checked your thread in a while, Nevyn.
Looks absolutely mint!

Have you had anymore thoughts on suspension? I remember reading that you were tossing up a few options.

Thanks mate!

Suspension will be next item to be addressed since I discovered my front driver's side is sagging by around 5mm...... :(

My goal is a civil ride on the road, lumpy city and country, so probably a lot different to what most are looking for from suspension.
This will mean softer springs than most set-ups, I keep coming back figures of around the 6/4 kg range (which is still about a 50% increase on stock).

I'm currently tossing up between two options;
- MCA Blues with suitable springs and damping.
- Tecna from 949 racing. (http://949racing.com/Tecna-coilover-miata.aspx)

The MCAs are much more adjustable but also ~$400 more expensive.
I also haven't ruled out BC Racing or HSR units either, not in a great hurry, need to build up the finances for a bit.......

Borrowed this post from another thread, did my first (as a club member) MX5 Club - Breakfast Club run today.

I probably could have chosen something not quite as ambitious.......

Thanks to Regie and Peter for organising and running such a great event.

After 14 hours, $125 in fuel, 862 Km travelled, some fantastic new (to me) twisty roads and an extended scenic detour home due to typical Sydney traffic chaos I'm absolutely shattered...... :|

Didn't actually stop much to be able to take many pictures but here's some of the best of what I did manage to snap during our travels.

Yeah, it was a great day and the weather couldn't have been better!

It all seems to be a bit of a blur now, or maybe that was just the scenery........

Wow, 1000 posts since joining less than a year ago, I do carry on a bit don't I........

So to celebrate I've decided to officially name my SE 'Selene'.
I've been calling her that for a while now anyway......

Why Selene?

Kate Beckinsale in leather.... What else would you like to climb into for a fun ride!

The sentiment i understand but I think she looked better in "Serendipity".

Maybe I should call mine Kate... ?
