I haven't used them myself but these guys are meant to be very cheap, you just have to be patient for the shipping......

You might want to check-first what is the local Mazda price at least for a bench mark. I would also check to see if you could use a used product. A guess is that it's not a regularly replaced item.

Don't bother. Mazda Aus has never even been close every time I've checked.
Head gasket $240Au if they could get one.
USA $60

Re: Cheapest Source For OEM Mazda Parts
I have a big box of seals gaskets and trim pieces on the way from http://www.amayama.com at the moment.
priced through Arlington was $150 plus shipping which was over $100. I was too scared to ask Mazda. Through Amayama it was $166 delivered (shipping $28).
You do need the Mazda part numbers to find anything (I find them on the Arlington site) and they source out of Japan (Mazda) or the UAE (aftermarket). You do have to be patient though as it is sea shipping not air.
Luke.

The guys don't seem to understand. You check Mazda here as a benchmark. When you are sourcing anything you find out the costs- it's a phone call or a quick visit. Freight on a heavy or bulky item can easy double the cost. Ask the experts here- why do you need a new item- JBT suggests a contact.

GREAT link, thanks.
Pity Mazda Australia don't have a program to look after us like they do in the USA http://www.mazdamotorsports.com/wcsstor ... efits.html
Oh, and not interested in used, I have a used part already.

Re: Cheapest Source For OEM Mazda Parts
Morlock I understand completely!
I gave up checking Mazda as a benchmark price because 99/100 they want a mortgage payment for a simple part. (rocker cover gasket for a B6 $68)
The joys of the internet allow us to source Genuine Mazda parts from places a little further away than our local dealer though, which opens up pricing quite a bit. (amayama $30)

So yes big heavy stuff might cost a fortune to ship but 80% of the car will fit in a moderately sized box and ship just fine. The money you save you can use on the other 20% of the cars parts.
So to answer question definatly try http://www.amayama.com they are awesome. well packaged, well priced and shipping was ok at 2 weeks and $28 on my box of bits.

I can't get any listings for parts. I even typed in one of your (Pictured) part Numbers, & got a "no parts found"

Re: Cheapest Source For OEM Mazda Parts
Do Mazda Australia still sell MX5 parts? I'm still waiting for the clip I ordered from them before Easter.

Re: Cheapest Source For OEM Mazda Parts
It's true that Mazda in Aust don't seem to care about high pricing on MX5 parts and that policy obviously varies around the globe. Still one cannot assume they are always off the target and sometimes one needs a part to get a car back on the road. I have said it before but Mazda clearly have different policies around the world. Toyota still sell parts for really old vehicles and offer service that Mazda don't even close to.
