Postby ferg » Mon Sep 15, 2014 7:24 pm

Hi all. I'm looking at a hi-tech (Sydney) muffler to put on my 2010 nc2. Anyone got any experience with products from these guys? Thanks

Not sure about on MX5's but the Hi tech exhausts are popular with the Subaru community, good quality and not too noisy etc.

No headers, just want it to sound a bit more like a sports car plus tend to drive more by ear than by tacho. At present there's buggar all to hear by ear!

just put it on yesterday and seems good so far. Brilliant with roof down, just a nice burble. Short run with roof up it seemed just a tad drum my but not too bad. Going on mx5 club run tomorrow and will try and remember to post again afterwards. Fairly easy to fit except for one stuffed nut which was a nightmare to remove. Bought the car off a young bloke who clearly had no tool skills - everything he had touched (including muffler flange bolts) are rounded off!

When you pack a bit of stuff in the boot, the roof up drum/ drone will be barely noticeable.
Greg.
I have GWR Roadstersport II without headers. Even my Mum (GRHS) thought that it sounded as a sports car should, (my Dad had cars).
When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?
