Any lower I can't get the jack under it..... Also stock ceramic turbo and high boost equals full failboat mode!

I guess we won't be seeing you on Monday then.

Cheers,

Looking to be back sooner than later. I've got a new second hand loom. Just need to clean a couple of things up, (cage, few more electrical things). Really like the mx5 track days. Always loads of track time!

Almost..... Just getting the matches!

What makes it really hard is there was no wiring diagram in English, most is just Internet heresay.... Also there are differences in r33, s1 s1 1/2 & s2.

But I got a new second hand loom. So it should fire. It's all in, just the power loom was a mess. The fsult was, sometimes under boost WOT it would fart and pop.

Also grant is fitting a ms3, so the old loom on the peg board works as a testing loom.

Still I'm lucky enought to have a track toy, so game on!

It's looking good for tomorrow, forecast is 9-29 degrees, with slight chance of rain in afternoon. Make sure you bring plenty of water and don't forget to drink it.

As you may have heard, I am expecting 40+ competitors, which means garages will need to be shared, but pit lane should be pumping.

Please get there as early as you can, so I can get the administrative stuff out of the road as early as possible, to increase the chance of starting on time.

Did I mention to bring a hard copy of your CTP extension

See you all tomorrow

Thanks Adam

Well done to all in getting the numbers up!

According to 'Natsoft' last year we had 45 for the May meet and 39 for September at QR

Be nice to surpass both of those and right now looking good!

Norwegian forecast for Willowbank tomorrow is:

The link below is to some photos I took while I was there in the pit area, hopefully it works. They're nothing special just some crappy iphone pics but they'll do :P

What a fantastic day! 8pm and I;m just home, stopped for coffee with Mark and his daughter Amber the latter having her first run today!~

Special thanks to Adam, JBT, Brian, Doug Chapple and the fantastic crew from QR [Barb, Bob, Neil and the office girls] and to everyone for making it one of the friendliest track days I have ever been to!

Congratulations to 'Team Allbran' otherwise known as the 86/BRZ members who performed fantastically. Thumbs up especially to Zoe [red 86] for managing to get down to a 1:13 on the Clubman and a 1:11 on the Sprint Circuit

Well done to all the first timers, to note a few 'VAT' [Gold NB], Amber [Mark's daughter] & Jason [white NA] - again excellent driving from all!!

Now lets look forward to an absolutely fanastic day at Lakeside Park on Monday 10 November next

Had a great old time - thanks to the club for organising it, and QIR for hosting. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

This was the Jaffa's track debut - I'd done a few things here and there (advanced driver training and a little karting) many years ago, and treated myself to a track day in Vegas last year - but it's a bit different when it's your own car!

The Jaffa spat its power steering belt during the second lap of the first run and I just ran the rest of the event unassisted. Think I gave a reasonable account of myself and the car out there, and the little fella held up to the abuse pretty well. The doughy Bridgestone MY02's had about half the life taken off them (no loss there), though.

Had one really nice little save in turn 2 mid corner at around 120-130 km/h in the second last run. Think I got the throttle-pedal combo a touch wrong mid-corner as I lined up the exit and the Jaffa had a little tail out moment which I caught very cleanly without lifting - got a nice buzz out of that.

Had two snake incidents at the last hairpin, with a white 86 hitting one when I was right behind, had visions of it being flicked up into the cabin, and then hit one myself on the second last run.

If you would like to see a poor NB8A being dragged around the QIR Clubman Circuit, enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8P6-D1o3S_g. I also took a couple of photos of what I think was the second group's first outing. https://imageshack.com/a/RR5z/1
