Lowering springs no lower?

Postby russman » Tue Sep 09, 2014 2:16 pm

Sorry for the broken-English title!

I installed a secondhand set of KYB AGX adjustable shocks and lowering King Springs into my 89 NA6 a few weeks ago. My friends said there would be a gradual drop, not instant but now we're up to three weeks.

Here ate some details:

- I haven't dríven the car for the past three weeks due to engine issues
- haven't got a wheel alignment yet
- checked the part numbers and these springs are definitely for lowering
- old suspension was stock

I tried a google search and nothing turned up but I don't know the best search terms to be honest.

Any ideas why I haven't gotten low yet?

Thanks,

Russ

Correctly installed front/rear - not reversed?

Old suspension may have sagged so difference might not be as noticeable.

What are the new height measurements at the seam welds?

Also...did you tighten everything back up under load or in the air?

KevGoat, checked part numbers of the front springs. and they're correct. From memory. Tightened in the air but I'll tighten under load tonight when I get back home. Same with measurements

Make sure you loosen things off a bit before re-tightening it all with the car on the ground.
