Except if you are no longer standard and have things like coolant reroutes, itbs, etc in the way.
Making changing from underneath the only option.

Admittedly mine is now self inflicted due to the above and large robust splitter/undertray, but oil changes for me are closer to an hour rather than the easy 20 min job it once was when stock.

A filter relocation to somewhere more accessible could drop that back down to 15 mins, and be infinitely easier and cleaner.

I for one can definitely see the benefit of a filter relocation . Each to their own
