Hmnn, I think this whole drip feed launch is pathetic. Personally, would prefer if they release all the information in one shot.

Everyone seems to hate the rear, I think it looks awesome in person.
The problem is almost every photo of it is taken on a wide angle lens because of where Mazda positioned the car whenever they've shown it. I've attached a few photos that show how different it can look depending on angle.

It's too high in the rear.

I still think it looks like an NC that has been kicked in the bum.

From photos: Auto on lights and rain sensing/variable wipers.

The engine is mounted incredibly low and far back in the chassis, which should make for excellent weight distribution.

Gee, just like it has for the last 9 years.

What has surprised me is the level of comment related to what seems trivia. Mazda has shown us quite a bit of the car and it's clear it's gone down well. When most people buy a car they buy a package.

Thanks for the link, looks like there may be 'sound tube' similar to the BRZ/86 extending from the intake to the cabin......

Didn't the NC have that?

They put one of those 'sound tube' type things on the NC2 - what a joke.

I've never paid much attention to the NC so don't know....

Yeah, a bit of a joke but it looks like it would be an easy thing to delete and should help to clean up the engine bay a fair bit.....

Reminds of the movie The Dilemma whereby Vince Vaughn and Kevin James have sold to GM (I think) the concept of a V8 engine sound in an electric car... and they struggle getting the sound to work and it blows up, crackles and pops trying to build that bass rumble and roar when you stomp on the gas (and the electric car goes whoosh, but the speakers go roar).

To be fair to Mr.M, the majority of opinion has been reasonably favorable...

Not sure how you're empirically coming to that conclusion.
