ENKEI RPF1 15x8

Postby zc32s » Wed Aug 13, 2014 6:52 pm

http://www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda-Pe ... 193RS.html

I've been considering purchasing 14x7 RPF1's for some time now but have been put off by the tyre selection.
Then I stumbled across this. This is perfection. 15x8 RPF1.

I've contacted a few aussie suppliers to see if they can get these. I'll report back when i get more details.

If you haven't already try Gerald at cheap wheel direct an email.
I bought a set of Enkeis off him and it was a painless easy purchase with great service.

I emailed Gerald per linked thread but he said he couldn't get 15x8 unless he ordered X number of sets. Anyone else have any luck with 15x8?

Tony, have you considered Buddy Clubs? Also, quite likely to drive the MX5 to work tomorrow so happy to catch up if you are available.

Hey Bryan, I have but I tend to make things hard for myself and want the rarer stuff! Dropped another note to Gerald from cheap wheels direct and he will check if they can drop ship from USA and will get back to me price. Can't beat the P1s for value and colour choice though. Catching up sounds good mate, will drop you an email in the morning.

Understand Tony, but RPF1s aren't that rare!

I have to say though - markwid has a set of Advanti from the US and they are remarkably light! Less that 5kg for a 15x7!

MX5parts.com.au should be able to get some in from Goodwin
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

I contacted the Aussie distributor for goodwin racing and they were kind enough to get back to me, however they mentioned that they couldn't get them at this time as they supply of them were sporadic and inconsistent, so they didn't want to disappoint by not being able to guarantee a delivery time if an order was placed.

I also spoke to Gerald at cheap.wheels.direct, ended up placing an order as he was able to secure 8 pieces, available for delivery in November. Can't wait! 2 more months. Still researching what tyre profile and tyre to wrap these in.

cheers,
Tony

205/50 is a good size though technically not legal on the road in QLD though no one would pick it by looking at it.

195/50 is closer to original rolling diameter and cheaper but not legal for memory (I think most tire manufacturers state a 7" max rim width)

225/45 if you looking for lots of rubber.

15x8, I would run a 205/50 or if you have the room under the guards you may sneak in a 225/45.

I decided not to buy these. I saw some photos and felt that they looked too big on an NA. It looked perfect on an NB though, maybe it was just the photos. I have decided to go for the 14x7 instead.

14x7 look perfect on an NA. Check out Celluloid Retina's car in the Cars for Sale section.
