Yep, agree....and is probably the reason I'm still unsure of the styling. Would've liked a more classic return but accept that's not for everyone.

Basic Corolla in the USA get LED headlights.

Will most likely be the sub-2000Lumen system. Meaning no washers or auto levelling required. Only 2/3 the power of a full HID system.

The ND is a 5, through and through - just look at the generations side by side... but I'd still like to see the Alfa version (if it ever happens) because I think *that* will be my next car. A Mazda in an Alfa skin... Mmmm...

Oh really? And you can never find a North American Corolla in Australia when you're looking for one. 8)

What ever Lumens it is, it must past ADR. Either 2000 Lumens will pass our design rules, or Mazda will have to revert back to HIDs, or fit brighter LEDs and washers/levellers on production build models for Australia (and other countries with similar design rules).

It's an UNECE reg - with which most of our ADRs are harmonised with. The lumens (output) limit exist independently of light source. Above the light output limit their need to be washers and auto levelling fitted... both add cost and weight.

It's been pointed out on the big forum (in the hysteria!!) but the ND looks like the MSM (SE) to me, and a couple of others.

Darkened headlights, and a lower lip treatment - so to me the ND looks fantastic!

SE (Duh)

Flipped ND for effect:

Now tell me you can't see an updated SE in there.

It's been pointed out on the big forum (in the hysteria!!) but the ND looks like the SE/MSM - which I agree with - and one MSM owner in the States was blindsided by his wife who on seeing the ND at the point of launch said "Why would you want one of the new ones, it looks just like the one you have now" (He has a Velocity Red SE)

Well it's certainly there but there's something missing....... I know! It needs an intercooler (plus associated hardware) and ummm..... BIGGER WHEELS!

Lol. Hysteria is right. ....ahhh the interweb. The things people get fired up about. Civil war is about to break out in the US over the infotainment screen.....

Good call though, in those shots it looks very NB.

I am the only one who thought when Simone the Bon Bon made that incredibly banal, childish and hopefully unrehearsed and unapproved comment the bouncers should have pulled the plug and thrown him and his band off the stage and demanded a return of their fee?

Now that would have generated some publicity!
UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)

Me for one.
Pretty, well balanced and with some balls would be ideal.

Clear evidence of the poor decision in using Duran Duran, if they really wanted to introduce some soul they should have called Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings.
