DRL's in headlight and superbright SMD/LED foggies in place of single light output lamp.

Nice understated DRL's.

How massive are the side mirrors :!:

I might be in trouble if they make it in yellow...

US Model: Looks better in non-posed photo.

Looks like it follows the 4C in having the side-marker lights/reflectors in the bumpers. Nice clean look for non-US models then.

Looks like it just took a big breath in through the massive power-mouth and is holding it, all puffed up and squinting at me.
Tail lights are not good, the two shapes don't go together.
Having said that, it's not ugly - just a bit of a disappointment.

I've always hated the black windscreen surround. It was on the 2005 NC, as well as some of the last NC models too, but it's always looked like a clash in my eyes. Same on the Audi RS cars. I much prefer it to be the same colour as the body, but if I heard correctly durring the presentation then all cars will come with the contrast.

Ah, not like I'm in the market for an ND anyway.

How about mariner blue (disclaimer, I meddled with a photo of the red one, this isn't a real colour choice)

JBT, you're completely right, they were chrome/silver not black (as are the Audi's). I guess I meant the contrasting colours in general. Still didn't like them though!

Aesthetically pretty damn good but what I would have liked better:
* Larger headlights
* Traditional NA/NB bonnet "engine bump"
* Smaller mouth
* Titanium version

I was at the launch (with thanks to the guys at Mazda Australia) and I have to say that in person it look even better than in photos. I'm really impressed, fantastic looking car. I'll post some photos from a few different angles and interior when they're on the computer, or check out http://www.facebook.com/mx5vic

Agreed...for the moment.
Given what previous models will be worth as a trade-in or on the used market, I think I'd rather get the GT Plus blower kit, some Ohlins, spiffy wheels and have $$$$ left over. :wink:

Hey Ben, you lucky duck.

Does it also look smaller in the flesh (smaller than an NC)

Any pics of the engine bay?

I'm liking what I have seen so far....and as Caff says....if they make one in yellow :oops: 8)
