This!

It's more important to get a tuner familiar with your ECU than one that's familiar with MX5s since the MX5 is quite basic compared to modern cars.

Yes, it us all ecu dependant. U may choose one no one can tune.
Personally, I wouldn't waste my money tuning a Nat asp MX5-u can only gain so much.
