The CTP extension is only required for vehicles with QLD registration.
It does not apply to unregistered vehicles or those with interstate registration.
Simply removing your plates at the track is not an option.

Take note of the CTP post above folks.
It is red tape we need to attend to. Just in case.

Thanks for the reminder John.

Not sure Magpie if you mean the number of runs but I gave it away after 6 and could have done another 2 plus the 'National' as well - so that's 9 in a half day! I just checked back to Natsoft for 26 May at QR and did a count  - also got my sheets in a folder in the NB, so could confirm there as well

Remember, the MX5 Club has a reputation of being able to get cars out on track apparently much quicker than most if all other Clubs

Of course accidents, breakdowns and 'offs' can slow the process considerably

That makes me enthusiastic!!

Thanks for that confirmation on CTP for 'non QLD' JBT, prefer it was from you and not me!

I won't be able to attend, hence my lack of enthusiasm for your enthusiasm.

Haha but know where you are coming from! I haven't missed a Club track day since I started at QR in September 2010 - I think the lowest number of runs i've ever had was 5 and that's still good value for the outlay, and I think that specific day there were 5 groups

No free lunches...and no flags (except checkered) these days because they have yellow and red lights all over the tracks.

JBT or Adam can you confirm to 'Juicy' that he will not require a CTP as I would assume being Altona the car would be registered in Victoria - of course that may NOT be the case"

Hey Roger, (&John &Adam)-thanks for the warm QLD welcome for a cool Suthnerr. Just to clarify:-
Justin will be sharing the drive with me (as I do with him in his car when in Vic) in the return of my red NA 'the TURBOnator', strongly rumoured to be ready to leave its not so cosy rehab in Newcastle (Dann's home for wayward MXs) this weekend. All going as predicted, :?: , this will see it's long awaited reappearance at club events on the 15th. Not only a 'get reacquainted' with the car event, but an initiation to QR that has eluded us thus far, and hopefully the first of many that will see the retirement of its sedate Silver fill in bearing your old 'MXV89' ID. We have the support of two other 'red' NAs, (also QR newbies), so gr8 anticipation do we have

See you all there,
Greg S.

Thanks Greg, the jigsaw just fitted together!! You gave me the pieces that day at the BP South when you had the gearbox on the trailer and we talked away, now I have it complete! FAMILY AFFAIR!!

It WILL be a great day! See you there

ONE WEEK TO GO

Just a week to go and we hit the track at QR - if you are going and intend to pay on the day, please flick the Competition Secretary Adam an email so he has an idea of numbers

Thanks - see you there!

I was hoping to make it, but the boat is playing up worse than a second hand lawn mower. Maybe the next one.
Have fun
