Yes, that was done with a DIYPNP and a bluetooth serial and an Android app that records the ecu data along with GPS data... I then just merge the data with video using RaceRender. Not too complex really.G
I have a LOT to learn, so still a bit complex to me.
Will get the ECU first and go from there...

Sure, that is if I go ahead with it.
So far the contenders are:
1. SC 14
2. M45
3. Merc 220
4. Mazda Eunos 800
Currently sussing out how best to run my IC piping.
Will buy a DIYPNP soon but still not sure on injector size. RX8 too big or doable? Or do I just leave stock until I get it turned?
Also plan on contacting some members that have gone the SC14 route before re various set-up queries.
ie Do I need to run twin TB's, what about vacuum/oil lines etc.
Basically I'm cool with fabricating brackets, piping etc but have NO experience what-so-ever with setting up a SC and would be grateful if anyone could help steer me in the right direction. Plan to mount above air con compressor. Prefer to keep on hot side so it's easier for me to run the IC piping.
What other things am I not thinking of?

I cannot overstate how important getting the ECU to be tuned and working without any modification is critical - you will spend 10x more time playing and tinkering with the ECU than the SC - so get focused on that first, or the effort around the SC will be wasted whilst you are still trying to iron out starting bugs, idle problems and generally getting the thing to stay running.
The SC is easy compared to the ECU if you've not tackled either before.

G, I understand so let's call that step 1. In order to plan the entire conversion I need to have a better understanding of a sc setup. Hence the need to want to get passed step 1.
You've done this so what other advice can you give me?

Well, just follow the proven path. The dual TB is to keep noise/heat to a minimum and cooling incoming charge via intercooler is needed. Most of the fiddling was with the pipe work and throttle cables. But all minor compared to getting a standalone ECU working reliably.

Okay, so back on this again.
Having no experience, I'm not aware of the proven path.
Think I'll just start a new thread with a more relevant subject.
That way I can ask the questions I need help with and hopefully get some answers.
