Years of test riding for a motorcycle suspension bloke gave me great insight into the physic of customers, Rod would say that "Fishing lures were designed to catch fishermen not fish". And if there were any doubt to his words a little bit of Gold anodising would always open a wallet quicker than a blink.

US Headers & Exhausts NA

Postby gslender » Fri Aug 29, 2014 8:18 am

I'm calling complete BS unless the name and ph of the installer is mentioned. If it is a legit business then there is no reason not to. If the installer is "a mate" who'd rather not have his name / phone number on the forum then I'm calling it BS because no way any educated or experienced exhaust installer would call those headers tuned. Unless tuned = a specific less performance than stock.

Challenge laid down. Watch him ignore or squirm around it.

Be polite, and conduct yourself properly. You can discuss the 4/1 system with Garry, the owner of North Shore Performance Mufflers (number on google). He said it was tuned without me asking or prompting. All tested after install. I don't know him personally but the few times I was there, a stream of clients can in and out.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

I dont think he was suggesting the $1300 fine was from last nights actions.

Either way, we all know the speed of 4th gear + 6000rm is.

http://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/usingroads/penalties/speeding.html According to this between 10 and 20km/h over is $250 odd unless you take it to court who can apply fines of up to $2,200.

This is the result decitex64. A golden clear coat which over a few days can develop into a tinge if of very slight blue/purple. You only get one shot at it though, on your first big run after install.

Unless he got done for No Registration and No Insurance... they are about $600 each.

Makes it hard to know fact from fiction when he explains himself this way.
