If it was more if a way to start your show and tell your probably better of starting a thread for your car in the garage section. That way everything is kept together for you.

You can't use one of the CX racing headers with how that cooling pipe over the headers.
Also, is it legal to have exposed timing belts?

Sailaholic must be spewin that he can't fit those headers.
Dupain, i'm just curious, can you see the timing belts in the photo?

Not in that photo, but some cut their valve covers to expose them.

Firstly if you read your own thread you would know why the sock is there.

I can't run the CX headers but at least my cyclinder head is cool.

You may think it looks terrible but the police don't defect on that. luckily or you'd be at the defect station for the stupid looking header you bought.

I have thought about a duct, but I'm think of using a Corns hear shield to catch warm air so my valves don't catch a cold.

Yes it was a weapon R intake but was upgraded before I got the car.

When I bought my NA back in 2011 it had a 'cold air' pod fitted - getting the Inspection done for the sale transfer they refused to do it until the pod was removed - I've never bothered to have it refitted as the car is so bloody fast it's not really needed! :wink:

A pod filter sitting over the extractors is not a cold air intake.
I wouldn't even consider it an "intake" either. You're just pulling the stock airbox off and shoving a pod filter on.
Illegal in nsw, and I guarantee you will loose power/response/torque.
You will gain noise.

All this makes me chuckle.

Over one little pod filter...

Buy a car from 1971 and you can do what you want, about three ADR's is all I have to worry about, lighting, seatbelts and that's about it.

I can legally run 6 oiled sock filters and have the intake make one of the best sounds in the world.

Triple weber DCOE sidedrafts on a cranky 320hp 4.3 litre 6 >>>>>> than 4 ITB's on a cranky 1800 4 banger.

If the fake is fine. All the Chinese fluid dynamic principles will have been used to modify the product from the original form. They (Chinese manufacturing gurus) would've realized that changing the text on the filter, the height of the filter, removing serial numbers and the colour of the gaskets would have made it equal, if not a much better quality product than the original.
