This is the one that I'll be getting. Emailed the company to see if i can get the ends of the fuel rail in red.

Anyone running this?

Not heard of anyone running them though they look similar to the mazdaspeed set up.

What size are they?
Does it come with all the linkages, cables etc
What length trumpets
What filter are you planning on using
What ecu will you run?

Linkage in the photo looks like the Jenvey setup. So does the fuel rail, but hard to say 100% it is.

Lots of talk about these on Clubroadster.

Doesn't look like it comes with TPS or any vacuum block/lines. Bear that in mind.

You will also need a fuel pressure reg if running that fuel rail. Otherwise use the OEM rail and reg in the OEM location and run bungs in the ITB injector holes.

This install is not as easy as you think. The Jenvey kit from Rev9 comes with much more of the stuff you need and is beautifully finished though I hear the Jenvey TPS isn't great.

Jenvey TPS no issues for me and I use 2. 1 for the ECU and 1 for data logging.

Trumpets are not the most optimum shape, mainly the bell mouths.

What ECU are you running?

OBX = same same as Jenvey but made in another country.

Those trumpets are very short :?

The OBX is 48mm, which is very big for an MX5. The Jenvey kit for 1.8L is 45mm.

Throttle body design is different too. Jenvey's kit uses a pair of proprietary twin throttle bodies. Those OBX units look more like the AE101/111 throttle bodies with individual linkages for each butterfly.

You are right about the linkage and fuel rail though, they do look suspiciously like Jenvey's design. The manifolds are probably interchangeable too as they likely use the DCOE pattern.

Agree the manifold looks like the mazdaspeed one and throttle bodies look a lot like the ae101.

Very very different to the Jenvy set up from that point of view. Linkage / cable set up is not like the Mazda / Toyota on through.

The mazdaspeed one runs a vacuum rail linking all the runners so the need for a vacuum block is negated.

Personally if but the Jenvy. Price difference isn't that big and a better / more complete looking kit.

OER Kits @ $1800 but comes with a piggyback ECU and extras. Then there's the staple Jeveny pathway.

Be careful, probably a little bit more complex than a steering wheel, and regardless of the Chinese manufacturing, you do need to tune them to open equally.

The OER kit's manifold is a little awkward in that it sits very flat, flatter than any other BP ITB manifold I've seen. That said, they work! I know of one car running them and it makes big power.

I will say this now - going with the OBX kit is not a good idea.

They are too big for all but the most highly worked, high compression BP with huge cams, and even then they will be cantankerous below WOT and 4500rpm. Cold/hot start will be amusing, make sure you don't go anywhere without a plug spanner and a dry set of plugs.

You will end up spending many hundreds of $$ on FPR, AN fittings and hose, vacuum block, messing about trying to find a TPS that fits and works, etc etc. In the end you will spend the same as a Jenvey or OER or TWM kit, maybe more.

Oh yeah, and you will still have cheap and shitty Chinese made ITBs that will be constantly going out of synch.

Challenge accepted..... Goes and orders a set to go with the equal length tuned 4-1 headers.....
