Of course Mark! I haven't spent 8 years of my life designing and building this thing for someone else to have all the fun!

Essentially that is the livery...with just a few more additions.

Thanks Dale.

It was an unbelievable opportunity to have Mazda HQ recognise and acknowledge my passion for all things Mazda. A couple of weeks back I was blown away by Mazda Australia's gift of a framed print(s) of the article. 8)

Not all vehicles in my collection were in the group photo...I have a couple more three wheeled trucks and JC Cosmos in storage. The collection is by no means complete!

Me too. It's been 6 weeks since I last heard it...and it will probably be another month before it's running again.

Danny

I'm sure it will be Mark. Thanks for your continued support.

Just the thought of the first drive in anger puts a smile on my face!

Thanks James. Not sure if I'll get a local test day in. I'm doing everything I can though. Yes, the corner at the end of main straights are always a popular vantage point.

The body moulds are still progressing well. This is the rear plug prior to sanding and polishing.

After sanding and polishing.

The biggest carbon panel on the NC will be the rear. Its mould consists of 4 pieces. The next series of photos shows how the plug is sectioned so that the moulds can be made.

So that I can get the chassis back sooner than later we've set up a spare NC front cut to mould all the front panels from. A 1:1 scale of the heat exchanger assembly was knocked up in MDF and mounted to the front cut in the correct position.

I added some stilts on rollers to put it an easier working height and also to move around the workshop.

The front panels were then transferred across.

The chassis is starting to look a little naked and unloved now. :P

T minus 45 days and counting.........

Danny

You keep finding ways to make your build even more interesting. The work going into the just the plugs is, well not enough words or synonyms so :BROADY:

So basically all of the factory metal panels are being replaced with carbon, including the fixed rear quater panels?
Wow, I certainly admire your commitment here!

Yes, all external metal panels are being replaced with carbon. I'm only ever going to build a car like this once...so it's going to be done right.
