external map sensor? plis more qna.

Sorry. I'll probably ask alot of dumb questions. Firstly what's the purpose on a haltec sport 1000 of this device. It looks like a map sensor. Vacuum lines go from intake manifold - tee - internal map sensor, fpr and this device.

Thought it might have been a Mac valve but only one connection. Has power, ground and signal wire by the looks of it.


The ecu has a plug in harness. Are adm and jdm the same engine loom/chassis loom at all? the plan is to remove the turbo setup off this car, return to NA for cheap fun for my dad. - eventually boosting the Malibu. I just would like to learn as much as possible from this as i can before ripping it out.

This looks ghetto. Is this normal install practice?

A mechanical one, yes.
