Re: glafit HID and Pikaq LEDs
You will need to take your lights out to get the ballasts where I have put mine. They are in the space at the front of the headlights when they go down. You can tie your cables to the same place as the existing cables to avoid getting them pinched. Also take care where you put the relays as I have just replaced one due to water ingress. The water ingress has been progressive over the time I installed them.

Re: glafit HID and Pikaq LEDs
Hi
I installed my LEDs tonight.
Just one problem.
The front Amber LED indicators are fine but when I installed the rears they blink at a much faster rate.
What can I do to make the blinkers blink at the normal rate?

Re: glafit HID and Pikaq LEDs
You need to purchase load resisters.
A normal 21w incandescent bulb draws approx 2 amps. An L.E.D equivalent draws 0.2 amps.
So the load on the circuit is much much lower. The flasher relay is designed to operate with a certain load, so when you reduce the load with L.E.D's... it flashes faster.
To fix it, you need to wire in some resistors.
Some people buy normal resisters from somewhere like jaycar and figure out how many ohms they need.
Another way is to buy the premade one from an auto shop. Normally made for trailers.
You should be able to track some down on the internet pretty easy too.
Hope this helps.

ED
Ended up getting a couple a led resistor set @$10 on ebay. Thanks again.

Have you got the HID's in yet?
Re: glafit HID and Pikaq LEDs
Not yet Magpie. Just running into obstacles with the other work and the car has been at the mechanic at Dural all last week. But will let you know how the install go.

Jaycar sell some ceramic resistors that are about $0.50 and you just solder in line like you have done.

Re: glafit HID and Pikaq LEDs
you dont need load resistors...you just need to mod the flasher relay. there is a resistor in the relay that is a heap cheaper to replace than load resistors.. just open up the relay. Change the "R1" resistor from a 5.6Kohm to a 1 megohm value...done
