Some questions...
1a) So that rocker cover is from what? 1b) and does it have a removable cam cover so that you can adjust and replace the cam wheel cover?
2a) Where and what is that ITB air box from? 2b) Do you still run socks inside, or was the plan to add a filter on the end of the air box at some appropriate point?
3a) Is that mod plate for the ITBs? and 3b) who did that?

2b. No (there is barely enough room for the trumpets). You would use an external filter (pod, etc)
3a. No, just for roll bar

Plohl is correct on all counts. Valve cover is off a sp model bg(?) 323. The precursor to the sp20 in the bj series.

At least your ITB's are not as obvious . Where will the air be ducted from?

We're going to fit a civic half radiator and fab an air box with a massive panel filter that will be ducted right from the smile

Yeah I've been think about it a lot since Friday and I think the above plan is the way to go if the civic radiator can be made to work.

Actually I was think the civic rad could be the cheapest way to go. Makes air box cheap and easy to make... I hope.

So you are going for the minimalist size radiator and let airflow be your source of cooling exchange? My Sep/Oct project is going to be a radiator duct.

The civics run a thicker radiator stock but not as wide. So the idea is more around reconfiguring then minimisation.
I've seen photos of it done on a mx5 track car with itbs in japan and a lot of talk about doing it in the states but no one has actually done it that I can find.
The extra space can then be used for air intake and if required a standalone oil cooler.
Given that Tim anson ran his car in earlier iterations on a stock auto radiator a Na car shouldn't need that much cooling capacity.

I'm watching this thread for ideas. Since my car is hardly a daily drive I have no real need for the current setup... I reckon I could chop off half the PWR and still have enough cooling

Not such a silly thought - I'm thinking of taking my thicker and 100% ali rad and welding up the first 2 inches of the core, removing the vanes and allowing my air box (that I've yet to build) to draw clean/clear air through that area... should work fine and I'd only be reducing the size of the core marginally... and should be ok me thinks.

G, which first two inches top or right?
The other idea I had was to pull air from in front of the rad but cutting a section of the rad block of panel. But I think bonnet clearances might be a bit tight.
