Hey Jason,
Any news on the EXAS? Looks like you can pick up a used one in decent condition for $400ish on ImportMonster.
Did you go FO rails? (Then there's shipping etc - Jesse Streeter?)
For the Perth guys, I'm going to go see Mao from Evolution R on Monday to see what he can do.
I'm still uming and ahing. Got some nice RX7 FD seats from a friendly forum member which I'm keen to put in but they won't sit me much lower.
I received it on Monday and fitted it last night, I'll upload some pictures tonight/tomorrow when I have time.
Seat is worlds apart from the Sparco Sprint V - without putting them on the scales, the Bride is easily 50% lighter. I've gained a lot of headroom too, at least 8-10cm depending if I take the cushions out (I drove to work this morning with no cushions, was surprisingly comfy).
Comfort wise, the Bride is also heaps better than the Sprint, I can actually recline the seat a little with the rails and the fibreglass shell is a lot more comfy than the Sprint's frame.
Clearance to my AGI bar is also improved - the headrest section of the seat is narrower than the Sprint which means I can recline it past the bar where the Sparco used to foul, although I need to invest in some quality padding now.
I'm running Garagestar rails which has pretty much placed the seat directly on the floor. The Bride has a scallop shape where your butt goes - once mounted it's only 4/5mm from the carpet.
The only thing is the seat is designed for Japanese guys...I'm 188cm and 85kg so it's a tighter fit compared to the Sprint V but still manageable. Snug, but not too uncomfortable.
Overall pleased with my purchase - it was only approx. $700 landed through Streeter direct from Bride. 2-3 week leadtime on the seat though.
